The ski season came to an end at Bromont on Sunday, April 16. Despite a holiday season that fell short of expectations, the resort is adding a check mark to another great season.
The cold spells in December and January allowed the teams to complete the snowmaking. With over 1,100 hours of snowmaking and over 7,300 hours of grooming, conditions were near perfect throughout the season.
Skiers and snowboarders were also in attendance as total visits nearly equaled our record year last year.
“We were very fortunate with the great spring skiing days. We couldn’t have hoped for a better way to end the season,” said Marc-André Meunier, Director of Sales and Marketing. “Spring break was also a highlight of the season with the great weather conditions that allowed us to spread our the skiers over all the days of the week, without overcrowding the mountain,” he continued. “Our teams also worked hard to deliver over 35 special activities and events. For me, it’s a very good return to normal. The popularity of winter sports does not seem to be waning,” he concluded.
The mountain welcomed its first skiers and snowboarders on Saturday, December 3. They were able to enjoy more than 120 ski days.
Currently closed, the mountain will reopen in May for the mountain biking season. In the meantime, the teams are busy transforming the site in order to welcome cyclists, but also vacationers during the summer season at the Water Park.
