Bromont, montagne d’expériences will be offering Bromont residents free lift access to the Mont Soleil slopes, starting with Spring Break 2023. Access to the Pente-École was already free, and by extending its offer, the mountain hopes that resident families who haven’t yet had the opportunity to enjoy the slopes will be able to do so for the rest of the winter, as well as during the next season in 2024.
Bromont residents will be able to present their BICITI+ card at the Bromont, montagne d’expériences Ticket Office or Customer Service to pick up their free Mont Soleil pass, starting Thursday, February 23. The pass will be valid from Monday, February 27 until Mont Soleil closes in spring 2023, and from Monday, January 8, 2024 until Mont Soleil closes the following spring. Resident skiers will have access to Mont Soleil slopes from Monday to Friday, day and night. See the detailed schedule for opening hours.
“For me, when I see young people enjoying the mountain, I tell myself it’s a mission accomplished,” says Charles Désourdy, President of Bromont, montagne d’expériences. “We wanted to take our vision of sustainability a step further, and make it possible for all those families who haven’t yet had the chance to try skiing to do so. Winter flies by when you’re enjoying the mountain, and its proximity to the city makes outdoor activities easily accessible. I’m very pleased with this initiative and hope that as many citizens as possible will try it out!”
“I sincerely thank Mr. Charles Désourdy for allowing Bromont residents to learn to ski by making his Mont Soleil facilities accessible free of charge during certain periods. A fine gesture from this important corporate citizen that will have a positive impact on our community and healthy lifestyle habits”, Mayor Louis Villeneuve.
An initiative in line with the sustainable development plan
This initiative is part of the mountain’s sustainable development program, whose strategic plan has just been published under the theme “ Do better, see far ”. Comprising 5 strategic axes, one of the main commitments is to provide Bromont residents with free access to some of the mountain’s facilities.
“The mountain is a great playground that we want to preserve so that our children, grandchildren and future generations can continue to enjoy it. Our sustainable development plan was drawn up in collaboration with our employees, customers and many other stakeholders. It’s the result of an extensive consultation process, and our plan reflects their aspirations for a more sustainable future,” says Désourdy.
