Tristan Guay – FICG54 Semi-Finalist in 2022

Originally from Gatineau, Tristan is a singer-songwriter with a strong commitment to his French roots. Moving between folk-rock and pop, he explores refreshing surf-inspired sounds. In 2022, he was invited to open for several of his idols, including Ariane Moffatt and Karkwa’s Julien Sagot and Louis-Jean Cormier, performing multiple shows between his native Outaouais region and Quebec City. At the Festival International de la Chanson de Granby, he won the Taxi Promo Disques Passeport Award and later participated in “Ma Première Place des Arts,” reaching the finals of the Tremplin de Dégelis. Tristan’s debut EP, Dans une autre vie, reveals the intimate story of two parallel lives colliding—sometimes contradictory, but always striving to harmonize. Through the five tracks on Dans une autre vie, Tristan reinvents himself song by song, weaving his multiple lives into one: his own.
