Brunch at the top all fall long

Who doesn’t love brunch? Whether it’s with friends or family, any excuse is good to gather around a sweet or savory plate! Imagine yourself in the beautiful chalet perched atop Mount Brome, sharing a fall brunch on a lovely Sunday afternoon. We’ve been there, and here are the top 5 reasons to enjoy it!
The Summit of the Mountain Accessible to Everyone

The day was beautiful, and we decided to explore one of the hiking trails. The trail was quite steep, and our group of friends took about 45 minutes to reach the summit. It was just perfect to work up an appetite! If you’d prefer an easier hike, take the Brome Trail; it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Chalet du Sommet.

Not in the mood to hike? Take a gondola ride! Perfect for both kids and adults, it offers a stunning view as you ascend.

Admiring the Colors of Fall

Once we reached the summit, a stop at the lookout was a must. The colors were starting to change, and the view of the Eastern Townships mountains was breathtaking. On clear days, you can even see the peak of Mount Mansfield in Vermont! Have fun discovering the surrounding peaks with the interpretive sign located at the end of the lookout.

Discovering the Stunning Chalet du Sommet

Did you know that the chalet at the summit of Mount Brome won the Grand Prix in the Architecture category at the Grands Prix du Design in 2021? Offering a panoramic view of the Eastern Townships, the Montérégiennes, and the Appalachians, the Chalet du Sommet is truly magnificent. With its large windows, this cozy retreat for skiers in winter also becomes the perfect spot for friendly fall brunches.

A Simply Delicious Menu

I don’t know about you, but we love it when brunches feature reinvented classics. That’s exactly what Bromont, montagne d’expériences offers. Every meal choice was tempting, and the portions were generous. We shared the famous fried chicken served with waffles and maple syrup, the bagel with house-made gravlax and crème fraîche, and the eggs Benedict on an English muffin with braised ham. There was even a vegetarian option!

We also indulged in a variety of delicious sides. The must-try duck sausages from Lac Brome, baked beans with bacon, ratatouille, and an assortment of fruits, crunchy vegetables, and yogurts were the cherry on top!
