In the interests of transparency, we ask you to check out our privacy policy, which outlines the collection, use and processing of your personal information.
Please note that the collection, use and/or disclosure of some of your personal information might be necessary if it pertains to your job position and/or application to join BME.
1. Scope of application
The Policy applies to all personal information collected by BME and includes any type of information concerning a natural person or which allows a natural person to be identified.
It is important to note that generally speaking, information pertaining directly to your job does not constitute “personal” information within the meaning of the Policy.
2. Collection and nature of personal information as defined by BME
BME may collect personal information from you whenever you interact with us, whether that be in person, by telephone, e-mail, mail, video conference, text message or on social media; when you visit our resort or our website; or when you participate in events and/or contests organized by us.
BME may ask you to provide personal information about yourself and/or others (emergency contacts). This personal information may include, but is not limited to:
- Information about your identity, such as your first and last name, date of birth and any other information that proves your identity and /or your ability to meet the requirements of your job (e.g. a copy of your work permit, biometric identification report, passport, driver’s license or any other relevant information and/or document);
- Contact information, such as your home address and personal contact information (telephone number, cellphone number, e-mail address or any other relevant information and/or documents);
- Biographical information, such as copies of your diplomas, certifications, attestations and exam results, personality test results, hiring process notes, employee evaluations, progress notes, disciplinary notices, photos and video or audio content, information about your skill levels, height, weight, food restrictions and/or allergies, or any other related information and/or documents;
- Financial information, including copies of specimen cheques, RRSP and profit-sharing information, or any other relevant information and/or documents).
As well, it is important to note that BME uses cookies and/or other technologies when you browse our website and/or view our marketing emails that allow the collection of certain types of personal information, including:
- Information gathered when you browse our website, such as your IP address, your geographical location (as determined by your IP address), your browsing patterns on our website, the date and time of your visit, information on your device and network, such as what browser you use and its configuration, your connection speed, the pages you consult or search for on our website, the links you click on, what you download, the response time of our pages, any downloads or other errors, the duration of your visit, whether the e-mails we send you are opened and any other action related to your online activity.
3. Why we collect, use or disclose personal information
In general, BME collects, uses and discloses the personal information of applicants, subcontractors and employees for the primary purpose of establishing, servicing, supplying and maintaining our relationships with those said individuals.
We may also collect, use and disclose personal information:
- For administrative and management purposes (such as the selection and management of our third-party service providers, for payroll, or other related services);
- For marketing purposes, to improve the functionality of our website and in connection with business development;
- For research and development within our different departments;
- To ensure the security of our staff, our customers, the station, our website, our equipment and our network and to prevent and counter fraudulent activity;
- Governmental or regulatory authorities, courts and law enforcement agencies;
- For any other purposes required by law.

BME may, at any time, disclose your personal information, either:

By sharing this information with us, you certify that you have obtained their prior consent or the appropriate authorization, thereby allowing us to collect, use and communicate their personal information in accordance with the provisions laid out in this Policy.
At any time, with reasonable advance notice, you may change or withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by BME. You should note, however, that certain personal information is essential for our selection and hiring process and that your refusal to supply personal information may be detrimental to your application for employment with BME.
6. Personal information retention and disposal
BME holds on to your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. BME may store and process your personal information at its headquarters in Bromont or elsewhere. Our servers are located in Quebec, Canada, but some of your personal information may also be stored with third-party service providers in the United States. They are, however, contractually bound to protect the personal information transferred to them.
A number of security measures have been put in place to protect your data. These take various forms. They include adoption of internal policies and procedures, the training of BME personnel regarding the collection, use and processing of your personal information, and the implementation of restricted access to our facilities, networks and files.
7. Accuracy and access to your personal information
It is important to BME that your personal information is as accurate, up to date and as detailed as possible. It is your responsibility to advise us of any changes to your personal information.
8. Modifications to this policy
This current Privacy Policy is in effect from the time of posting and may be revised from time to time. Continued access to our website or your provision of personal information will serve as your implied consent to any such changes.
