Bromont, montagne d’expériences is offering free access to the Water Park for Bromont residents on three days this summer: Saturday June 17, Wednesday June 28 and Sunday July 9. This includes access to all aquatic facilities and mountain activities such as mountain sledding, gondola rides, climbing wall, trampo-bungee, disc golf and slackline park.
In addition, the company will make its Water Park facilities available to Bromont residents for affordable swimming lessons for their children. Made possible through a collaboration with the City of Bromont’s Service des loisirs, des sports, de la culture et de la vie communautaire, the session of seven 45-minute lessons will be aimed at children aged 5 to 8. Registration is via the city’s website: bromont.com.
For the free days at the Water Park, Bromont residents can present their BICITI+ card at the Ticket Office or at Bromont, montagne d’expériences Customer Service to pick up their pass.
“In Bromont, we’re fortunate to have nearby access to outdoor activities in all four seasons. After offering a free pass to residents for Mont Soleil, it was only natural for us to go one step further and allow everyone, young and old alike, to enjoy the Water Park facilities,” says Charles Désourdy, President of Bromont, montagne d’expériences. “But where I think we’ll make a big difference is in offering swimming lessons for children. I’m very happy that our facilities will be used for that this summer, and that youngsters will be able to learn to swim in this environment – it’s great!” he concludes.
“It’s very important for a town to be able to diversify the activities it offers its residents. Thanks to partnerships like the one with Bromont, montagne d’expériences, residents benefit from new advantages, while taking advantage of existing infrastructures. Both socially and economically, this is a fine example of sustainable development. I also salute these first swimming lessons given to Bromont’s little ones. What a wonderful, innovative idea!” said Mayor Louis Villeneuve.
An initiative in line with the sustainable development plan
This initiative is part of the mountain’s sustainable development program, whose strategic plan has just been published under the theme “ Do better, see far ”. Comprising 5 strategic axes, one of the main commitments is to provide Bromont residents with free access to some of the mountain’s facilities.
“The mountain is a great playground that we want to preserve so that our children, grandchildren and future generations can continue to enjoy it. Our sustainable development plan was drawn up in collaboration with our employees, customers and many other stakeholders. It’s the result of an extensive consultation process, and our plan reflects their aspirations for a more sustainable future,” says Désourdy.
