Bromont, montagne d’expériences is pleased to announce that it will be offering free beginner ski and snowboard lessons to Bromont residents. Starting in December 2023, Bromont residents, young and old, who want to learn how to ski and snowboard, will be able to do so in complete safety during 4 Première glisse lessons that will take place exclusively on the Pente-École.
“I often say that skiing is a great sport for the whole family, because both young and old can enjoy it,” explains Charles Désourdy, President of Bromont, montagne d’expériences. “In Bromont, we’re fortunate to have the mountain right in the middle of town, and I’m delighted to see Bromonters enjoying it all year round. After offering a free pass to residents for Mont Soleil, we felt it was the next logical step to offer an introductory lesson for citizens,” he concludes.
The Première glisse introductory lesson is specially designed for people who have never skied or snowboarded before. It’s a 90-minute group lesson that also includes ski or snowboard equipment rental.
The 4 lessons reserved for Bromont residents will take place on :
Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 8h45 to 10h15
Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 8.45am to 10.15am
In order to reserve a place, citizens must present their Bciti+ card at the Ski School, 150 Champlain Street.
An initiative in line with the sustainable development plan
This initiative is part of the mountain’s sustainable development program, whose strategic plan is published under the theme “Do better, see far”. With 5 strategic axes, one of the main commitments is to provide Bromont residents with free access to some of the mountain’s facilities.
“The mountain is a great playground that we want to preserve so that our children, grandchildren and future generations can continue to enjoy it. Our sustainable development program was developed in collaboration with our employees, customers and many other stakeholders. It’s the result of an extensive consultation process, and our plan reflects their aspirations for a more sustainable future,” says Désourdy.
